Baby Sprinkle

I hosted a little baby sprinkle in honor of Rebecca's new baby, due in February.

I was making a spinach bacon salad for the luncheon and Matt was ingenious in making my bacon for me outside on the campfire burner so the whole house wouldn't smell like bacon for the party.  Whatta guy!

It was fun using my china.  A good reason to clean all my crystal stemware, silver-plate flatware and china after the dusty addition.

Who is that up the tree?

January stuff

A few little things that we did before and after our Mexico trip:
Chaperone's Luke's field trip to Open Lands and got to sit on the bus with this super cutie

It was a whole educational field trip recreating the store "The Mitten" and learning about all the animals.

Jill's birthday lunch at work - they brought out birthday cotton candy at the restaurant we went to.  Yum!

Even in the winter it is nice to get outside for a while and play.  The kids like playing on the ice in the backyard.

Big stick found in the yard
Cool Hand Luke washing windows with his shades on

He begged to be able to wash the windows

St Patrick's Church trivia night with the Hanson's and the Hartman's, very fun

Fro Yo run with my babies

Luke is really into art and has started taking ceramics class after school on Tuesdays.  He love love loves it.  This is his "coil pot"

They picnic....

...and they sleep.  I like that plan.

Mexico!

Matt and I got away together to Cancun in January for five days.  So amazingly relaxing and luxurious.  Highly recommend Costco travel and the Live Aqua Hotel all inclusive hotel in Cancun!  Thanks to Donna and Emil for watching the kids for us.

Ocean view room

On our bed when we arrived made of seeds

Matt rearranged to be a little more personalized.  Awww.

Infinity pool

Not too shabby

Quirkel came with us

With just three full days (and two partial days), plus 5 star all inclusive resort amenities, there was hardly any need or time to leave the property!  We decided to do one nearby excursion where we drove little two seater boats out to a nearby reef and underwater museum.

Our guide swam us out to an underwater museum we had heard about with statues.  It was a bit of a swim hike from where we were snorkeling, but worth it.

Barracuda sightings

All the boats at the reef at the same time as us.

The pool, the sun, the drinks, the wait staff, the naps, ahhhhhh.
