Lake House Sleepover

We had planned to do a friend sleepover at the lake house before school, but it was postponed after Claire's COVID.  We did the weekend after school started and it was really fun!

On Sunday we went to Indiana to celebrate Uncle Mike's 80th birthday.  Ben came into town for the occasion, so we got a bonus visit with him.  Score!

When we got back from Alaska, Matt had agreed to let Claire get a hamster.  So we didn't waste any time heading over to Petsmart for Claire to adopt "Sunny" the Syrian hamster.  She's so excited to be a hamster Mom.

A couple days later we learned that she had COVID.  She was the last one in our family to get it, and it was like a cold.  Her 10 days of mask wearing just barely coincided with the first day of school.  She wasn't happy to mask up for her first day, but it was ok.  

Claire started 4th grade, her last year at Cherokee Elementary, and Luke started 6th grade - his second year of middle school at Deerpath Middle School.  They both love school and were happy to have friends in their class(es).
