AHH-LASKA!

We had an incredible time in Alaska in August of 2022!  This was a reschedule of the Tauck tour we had originally scheduled for August of 2021, that was thwarted by COVID.  Alaska is an amazing place, unlike any other destination we have visited.  We loved the mountains and water and non-stop nature.  We could have done with a little less rain, but it didn't get in the way of our fun.  All in all, we agreed it was an unforgettable trip that we all had a great time experiencing together. Tauck was a wonderful tour group, highly recommend!

In Anchorage to start the trip

Talkeetna - this is just outside Denali National Park - too many clouds to see Denali while we were visiting, unfortunately.  We weren't in the 30% club (only 30% of visitors see the mountain)!

Geocaching

Alaskan salmon
Beast Burger (made of elk, bison, wild boar) - carnivore Claire

Luke was very into all the edible plants that our guide taught us about

Matt got on the ground in the mud so this woman in our group with knee problems could step over the log on the trail.  What an amazing guy!

Great family pic!  It wasn't raining!

So many neat bald eagle sightings

When our Denali flightseeing tour was cancelled in Talkeetna due to weather, everyone was bummed.  Matt took the initiative to book our own helicopter tour in Seward, during our only free afternoon of the trip.  It was a highlight for all of us.  So grateful that Matt thought to do that!
