Claire's First Day of Kindergarten

Our baby girl started grade school, talk about time flying by.   Whoosh!  I was emotional, just like Luke, after dropping her off.  Like a chapter of her - and my - life had been closed.  Especially since it was so abrupt.  Because of the rain there was no hanging around in a line outside the door, they took her right inside as soon as we got up to the door and all of a sudden the moment was there.  The moment to say goodbye to my preschooler and let her spread her wings came and went in a snap.  She was nervous, but when the moment came she was so brave and did great!  We're so proud of her.  She really likes Kindergarten so far, yahoo!  She has Mrs. Kisselberg, the same teacher that Luke had, and it seems to be a great fit for her personality.  I'm sure she will have a great year.

Kindergarten walk through day

Mommy and Clairebee Day after the walk through. Took the day off of work to spend with my baby before school starts, just like I did with Luke.  She chose to take the train to the park at a nearby town.

Picture of Claire at school from her teacher's App post.  She looks like she's doing well!

She was so hesitant to start Kindergarten she wouldn't take a  picture with her yard sign.  After her first day she was all smiles to take a picture with it.

1st day of 2nd Grade & the Nolden's Visit

Luke started SECOND grade!  Woo hoo!  He is getting to be such a big kid.  Third year of grade school already, it is flying by like the wind.

We kept summer going, though, even after school started for Luke by having Shelley, Rob, Alyssa and Kelsey to the lake house for the weekend.  We had a great couple days spending time with them, they are awesome!  It is especially great to get to know my god-daughter Kelsey a little better.  She is such a smart and fun little girl.

Second grade walk through before the first day of school.  Luke's class has dual teachers this year, a new thing the school is trying with one class per grade.  He's so lucky to have two full time teachers for his one class of 20 kids for more differentiated learning and individual attention.

First day of school!

BFF Joey and Luke - they aren't in the same class this year, but I'm sure will still be just as close
