Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend seems like a long time ago (as I do this post in November!).  The start of the summer, ahhhh!  What a wonderful time of year.  Headed into a long winter now I'm feeling a bit envious.  Although the holidays are always so fun, and it is always a good time to be a Baranko!

Iso took the kids to a playdate at the McCarney's - bike gang!

Let's kick off this holiday weekend!

End of year Cub Scouts get together at our house

Mom and Dad and Dudley are back from Florida!  Yahoo!

Scattergories, always a fun time!

Mini golfing with Grandpa

Chilly weather made the hot tub a hit

Brought out the heater and the fire table for the parents

Eventual migration to a movie in the basement

The next day I headed to Santa Rosa for a business trip.  My first time to California's wine country!  Loved it!

First night our business dinner was at a gorgeous vineyard.

Nobody I'd rather travel with than my work bestie Jill!  Jill and I worked together at Walgreens and then I convinced her to come to Abbott:)
Home of Charles Schultz, there were Peanuts statues all over the city.

Our second night's dinner was in cute Healdsburg, we were early for our reservation so checked out a couple shops.  We thought this one was fitting as we were there visiting an Abbott Toxicology laboratory.

In Healdsburg town square on a gorgeous day.

Driving back to SF and crossing the Golden Gate Bridge

Six Flags has opened for the season and Claire did this rollercoaster!  She didn't like it, but hey, she tried it.

This is more her jam.  Which kid doesn't belong on the ride?

Lamb's Farm also open for the season

Washing Dad's car

I had to go to New York for work on Sunday and ran into Nikki in the airport coming out of a Starbucks. It turned out that they were on my same flight, going to New York!  What are the chances??

We made plans to meet up that night for dinner.  Brad had won a "40 under 40" in retail design and was there accepting the award.  So talented!  We had a really fun rooftop Greek feast.

I was leading Abbott's activation at the Wall Street Journal's "Future of Everything Festival" which turned out to be a really cool event.

While in town I also met up with Matt's cousin Steve, who is an absolute gem of a guy and we always have a hoot together.  Our dinner in NY was no exception, he found this amazing open air Italian place and we lingered over our wine and dessert.

It was my first time hanging out in the Tribeca neighborhood of NY and I loved it

He showed me the fire station where Ghostbusters was filmed

Travel yoga mat strikes again!

While away, Matt took the kids to the Cub Scouts' Raingutter Regatta.  These were the boats they made and decorated.

Fun with selfie mode

Claire won the Raingutter Regatta!
