Since we hadn't done enough partying within a 7 day period, we decided to throw another one! Our third and final hosted shindig was Luke's 4th birthday party, which was a Fire Truck themed party. Luke decided months ago he wanted a fire truck party and never once swayed from his decision leading up to the event. I love (but I'm sure I will eventually come to dislike at times) this about Luke, he is decisive and then doesn't change his mind easily. The boy knows his own mind. Anyway, I hit Amazon.com for some fire truck stuff to properly theme up our party, and we were all set. This year for the first time we had a friends party for Luke, with only immediate family there. Now that he is in preschool he has a lot of little buddies that he wanted to invite to his party. When you add in those buddy's siblings and parents (they're too young for drop offs), that can become a big party, fast! The weather report said rain, so we were all set (read: cleaned the basement) to have an indoor party, but then it ended up being just beautiful outside. We even had a ton of people in the pool! It was another success:)
I cannot believe that our little Luker Dukerson is already 4 years old! Happy, happy birthday to our sweet, spunky, smart and super special little guy. We love you to bits!
