Beautiful November weekend

We had a gorgeous weekend of weather for mid-November, and we enjoyed it!  Exciting progress on the addition, too, with roof and windows in.  It is really starting to take shape.

A couple kid updates:

- Claire has been a dancing fool.  She loves to dance all around the house, park, school, whatever,  She loves to do "ballet" and spin around in dresses and skirts.

- When Claire has to go potty, she wants you to go into the bathroom with her and then she asks you to close the door so that she can have "privaty"

- Luke is reading full books through his Hooked on Phonics program, it is amazing!  He is so proud of himself, he just beams.  He is started to read everything he can - street signs, other books, you name it.  He even likes to read stories to Claire.

- Luke's swimming is really improving, too!  His lessons with Miss Alison are really going well.  He really likes it, which is a big change from our last experiences at Foss where he dreaded going and refused to put his face under water.  Now he looks forward to going and actually kicked and scooped across the little pool all by himself, it was amazing!

Dancing Minnie!  She loves to wear her Minnie dress all the time.  You can kind of see how ripped up it is.  Donna was kind enough to take it home and completely repair it for her, what a nice Grandma:)

Matt broke his toe jack hammering at the house, poor baby.

This is where the kitchen is going to meet with the new foyer!  It is nice how Matt put up these temporary walls to keep out the cold air and create separation for Isolene and the kids from the workers during the day.
Bonus for the kids is that they can write on the walls!

This is where the hallway to the wet bar and door to the laundry room will eventually be.

Matt went to IN to hang with his friends on Saturday, Emil took Luke to volunteer at the Knights of Columbus and I took Claire to swim lessons and we had a fun mommy/daughter breakfast.

Later that day the three of us went bowling for a charity event.  They could not get enough of the bowling ramp, it was such a hoot!  Claire insisted on wearing her Cinderella dress to bowling.

After the bowling event, we had Eloise's birthday party at the rec center.
Super fun.  Luke was the only boy, but he didn't seem to mind:)

Professional hand/cheek painting done by Becca:)

Saturday night Claire broke out in hives, it was so weird!  I still don't know what caused it.  She wasn't going to sleep and I was getting a little annoyed.  First she said she had to go potty, then poop, then she wanted a drink, then she said she was hungry, then she said her foot itched.  I helped her with all of the above and then investigated the foot itching.  I found a little hive on her foot and followed it up her leg and then saw it all over her skin!  The little baby, no wonder she couldn't sleep, she was super uncomfortable.

Sunday morning park time to take advantage of the warm temps.

Dad got home in time for our lunch picnic.  Probably our last picnic of the year.
