London, Tubing, Camping & Father's Day

This week in June (since I am back-date posting this blog on what is today, July 31st, I feel compelled to remind myself and my readers on the time travel we are now doing) I spent most of the work week outside of London for a work trip.  The workshop I was at was held at Champney's Health Spa (http://www.champneys.com/spa-resorts/champneys-tring/), a venue made available to Walgreens Boots Alliance because of our majority ownership of their Champney's health spa branded products sold in our Boots stores.  The place was amazing, a bit like Downtown Abbey turned spa.  Safe to say our small group were the only ones working, as all of the other non-staff were milling about between spa treatments in their robes and slippers.  Even if we did have to work, the views weren't bad and I got a free massage at the end of it!  Unfortunately one of the nights I also got some sort of food poisoning and ended up spending the majority of the night with my head in a toilet.  Yuck!  The workshop was with some extremely senior executives from global that I was eager to make a positive impression on, and so I had to suck it up and turn it on the day after my little stomach issue.  I'm happy to say that my nausea retreated just in time and I was able to have a pretty solid day of impressing my superiors, if I do say so myself.  As with my trip to London last Fall, the business class air travel continues to be one of my favorite parts of the trip.

Went for a walk around the grounds the first day there

Got home Friday around lunchtime and Matt and I enjoyed a few hours on the boat together.

Farmer's Market on Sat am

After the Farmer's market we tried out the tube for the first time!

The kids LOVED it!!  They wanted more and more and more.  All three of us on that tube!

Saturday we went up to WI for one night of camping.  After a no-go situation at our original camp site in Lake Geneva (drunken site-mates), we went back to the Richard Bong Recreational Area where we had gone last Fall.
