Halloween & Cubs Win the World Series

Not much to report other than that the naps reinstatement I think has really helped Claire's behavior and has dramatically decreased the evening whining.  Love it!  She's not falling asleep very easily at night, though, so we may have to limit her afternoon nap times.  Tweak this just right and we'll get it yet!

I pulled out all my old Lego sets from my childhood and they are a goldmine for the kids.

Claire loves the horse set.

New patio set from a going out of business sale, so big and nice!

So warm out!  Carved pumpkins outside in short sleeves at the end of October.  I'll take it!

Spooky

They wanted to put hats on their pumpkins for some reason

Jack and Mikey's birthday party - they hired this 12 year old magician who was SO GOOD!

I did my first 5K race since the kids were born.  Back in the racing saddle!  I did the "Hot Chocolate Race" with several girl friends and it went pretty well!  I liked the chocolate part at the end, too.  This is me and my neighbor friend Cara.

Everyone is getting into the Cubs World Series spirit

Volunteered in Claire's classroom for her Halloween party

Alexandra, Claire, Suzy and Ryan - all 3 of her friends have older brothers Luke's age and we are in a dinner group with their parents.

Luke had a Halloween party at his school on Friday night.  A drop off party outside of school hours, what a big kid!!  Joey the dinosaur and Luke the Bacon 'N Eggs.  Ha!  William and Henry, their other friends there, chose not to dress up:)
Halloween trick or treating on Rebecca and Peter's street: Jack, Mikey, Claire, Luke, Eloise and Sarah

Luke chose this costume at Target because "it was the funniest"

Watching the Cubs WIN the World Series!  Chicago was mad for the Cubs!  We aren't really Cubs fans, but it was exciting nonetheless.

Luke has been seeing the "W" flying all over town and at school, so he made this sign for our house (hung proudly next to their beautiful artwork).  Both kids learned the "Go, Cubs, Go" fight song at school and can sing it on their own unprompted. It definitely is a Cubs town.
