Shedd Aquarium Overnight

Big week for us!  Claire lost one of her front teeth, for one.  We had the kid's Winter Sing program (they did great), and then we spent a night sleeping at the Shedd Aquarium.  It was so cool, we were there the whole time that the aquarium is usually closed, so it felt very exclusive and different than other visits.  So fun!!

Pretty Christmas dress for Winter Sing at school

He yawned a few times during the program - so funny! Guess he doesn't like performing.

Classroom holiday party - making gingerbread houses

Iso was happy to come and watch the program and join the party fun

Lookin' great!

Luke's classroom party had a bunch of stations.

Pretty views at Engagement Point, where Matt and I got engaged

Board games and hot cocoa and snacks
We slept down in the Oceanarium lower level by the underwater viewing and the penguins.  It was so cool to see the dolphin and whales swimming around in the dark late at night.  So peaceful and they were so curious about us being there.

Sleeping on sleeping bags on air mattresses

Otter!  Matt's fave

We slept right outside the penguin habitat

Love the seahorses

We went to the Field Museum after the Shedd Aquarium on Saturday

Stopped by the Chriskindlmarket, it was packed!

Party at Valerie and Scott's house later that day

Their boys are soooo big!

Going to cousin Orrin's hockey game in Lake Forest

Nibbling on the tree for some reason

They are way better than me at pinball!

Another opera night at Del Rio.  Ugly sweater edition.  Matt got this gem from Kristin and Cory this year for Christmas, it was awesome!

Isolene had her annual kids' holiday party at our house this week, too

All the kids and nannies in their group come over and play games, eat food and celebrate the season.
