Peony season folks! I love me some peonies!
This weekend back in May of 2021 I enjoyed my first extended family event since pre-COVID, a bridal shower for second cousin Audrey Koble in WI. Even though we were all mostly vaccinated (gauged from the chatter about it in the room), I must say that it felt very strange to be inside maskless (gasp!) for a multi-hour event. It was a lovely event, though - throwback pre-COVID style - and so nice to catch up with my aunts and second cousins.

Reunited and it feels so good!

Matt was looking at houses to flip on the Chain o Lakes, and this amazing property came on the market that we went to go see together. It was so cool. Historic home on a 3-sides waterfront property on a small island. Sadly, it sold for more than what Matt could flip it for and still make a profit.

Lilacs also in bloom in our yard. Claire picked some, along with some lingering forget-me-nots, and placed the fragrant bunch on her nightstand.

Matt has really helped out with Luke's baseball team - leading some practices and helping at games and with the player position and batting lineup strategy. He scores all the games, too. What a great Dad! He never played baseball himself, so he researched all of this to help out Luke's team and then volunteers so much of his time and energy.
