We had a fabulous vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee in our fantastic rental RV! For those who recall, we had previously rented an RV to go to the Smokies during Spring Break of 2020, after our trip to FL had been canceled because of COVID, but before lockdown. We had gotten the whole RV loaded up and ready to go, and then the Governor declared the stay-at-home order and we couldn't go. Lucky for us that the RV company honored our credit for a full 18 months (thanks for Matt's savvy negotiation), so we were able to use the week rental we had already paid for. Score!
The RV life is certainly interesting and fun! We had a great time going there, staying in it while we were there in TN, and then driving home. I did get a little motion sick, but it was fun to be able to move around while Matt drove. Yes, Matt drove that beast the whole time and did an awesome job! We used a rental Jeep when we got there. We did fun hikes, scenic drives, cave tours, alpine rollercoaster rides, mountainside mini-golf, a Pink Jeep Tour, you name it! We love the Smoky Mountains - we would love to go back, we hardly got to do any of the zillions of activities they have in the area. So much to do, so little time - as always seems to be the case. Highly recommend!
