How many people can say they have a boat named after them, much less a 7 month old? Claire is the lucky namesake of Grandpa & Grandma Baranko's new boat. What an honor for her! They acquired this awesome gigantic boat for quite a deal via an auction, and now they have it in Waukegan Harbor just a stone's throw away from their new house. This boat could also double as an apartment if the need ever arose:) We had a little re-naming ceremony for it last weekend. First there was a de-naming part, and then there was a naming part, then she was the Claire Mae!
On Sunday we headed up to Wisconsin to celebrate Grandma Della's 88th birthday. We had a fun party at Aunt Susan's house. It is always nice to have quality time focusing on somebody so special!
Other than that, we're just gearing up for Disney next week. Yippee! Luke had his three year checkup and everything is good. Matt took him and was relieved when he answered the doctor's questions correctly. Here are a couple samples.
Doctor: "What do you do when you ride your bike?"
Luke: "I put on my helmet."
Doctor: "What do you do when you cross the street?"
Luke: "Hold hands and look both ways."
Phew! A couple of those Matt said he wasn't as sure he would know the answer to right away. Snart kid.
He was 32.5 lbs and 39", which means he's not quite at the 40" that moves him up to a whole bunch of rides at Disney, but there are still plenty for him to do.
