Wings Over Waukegan

After such a busy week, a low key weekend was just what we needed.  We had a great time at the local airshow 'Wings Over Waukegan' on Saturday, then on Sunday we headed down to see Jeff & Sarah's new house in Schererville, IN.  Their new home is beautiful, and they've already done so much to make it their own.   Quite a change from their 1 bedroom condo in the city! Since we were in Indiana, on our way out of town we stopped in to see Aunt Barbara and Uncle Bruce so we could introduce them to Claire for the first time.

The kids are just so fun.  Claire is getting such a personality, and with the sitting up and eating and expressions and everything, she's just so much more of a participating part of the family instead of just being an inactive observer.  Luke says the cutest, funniest things.  We were feeding Claire applesauce and he said "Applesauce?  That's like at school - criss cross applesauce!"  So we have proof he has learned something at school already, how to sit with his legs crossed:)  One night I was putting him to bed after his bath and I had him wrapped up in his tiger bath towel.  I was holding him like a baby and said "Oh, my baby tiger!" and he said "Are you the Mommy tiger?"  Ever since then he has been really into calling himself the baby tiger, and me the Mommy tiger.  To the point where after he goes to bed I can hear him saying "Mommy Tiger!! I have to go potty!!"  Throughout the next several days if I called him Luke or Lukers he says "No, I'm a baby tiger."  It has migrated a little bit to him being a "big brother tiger" sometimes, but it really is so cute.

Back to his house:)
Ice cream treat - one of the last ice cream runs of the summer:)  Blue Moon ice cream for Luke.
Swimming lessons on Wed mornings, now without a parent!  He's doing great.
