Independence Day

We had a fun filled 4th of July week

Dougal & Dudley came to stay while M&D were in AZ with Kristin & co.

Claire loves both dogs, but especially Dudley

The Skateboard Store is such a great boat for our little family

We rode our bikes to the 4th of July parade in Lake Bluff

waiting for all the candy throwing to commence - but this was a competitive corner!

We moved to where our neighbors all were which was MUCH better.  Great shade, great spot and lots of handouts for the kids without elbowing needed.

After a post parade nap - Claire literally ran to the fireworks festival.

The kids got these tiny lights that they were using to look into our mouths.  Future dentists, I told Joe!

Luke and Claire both enjoyed the fireworks - they both wore head phones to block some of the noise.
