Racine Zoo

Still in June....report card for Luke (he did great!) and some example things from his Kindergarten workbook that came home at the end of the year.  So impressed by how well he writes and spells already.  Super cute.  He had an awesome Kindergarten!

Claire had a great Blue Class of preschool, too.  Her teachers only had good things to say about her in our conference, and they say she continues to demonstrate leadership skills.  She knows what she wants, ha!  They say she is always happy and eager to learn when at school.

Loving our summer activities, literally can't get enough of our free time.  The work week seems to fly by, then we get another fun couple days.  Thumbs up on a great life.

Summer concerts in the square mean snow cones!

The new boat can come all the way up to shore, so awesome!

Impromptu swimming!

Gorgeous evening

Once the kids got dressed in dry clothes they wanted to be carried back and forth to shore again and again.  Whatta guy!

Captain Matt making his own second anchor to keep the boat facing the way he wants it.

Little playtime in the sand while Dad gets the boat on the trailer.

Blooming trees in the wooded part of our backyard

Matt's new hammock tucked away in the trees.

He went in there to "get away" and have a snooze while we had pool time, but they found him!

Luke climbing our trees again.  It scares me how high he goes!  He's really careful though.

Mom and Dad gifted me tickets to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra's score of the movie "La La Land".  They played while they showed the movie on a big screen.  It was great!  We had an awesome dinner out before at Mo's Steakhouse next door.  Fab date night in Milwaukee!  Thanks to Mom and Dad for the treat and Donna & Emil for watching the kids!

YUM

Racine Zoo on Sunday.  We love Wisconsin!!

That tongue was so long!!

So neat how the zoo is right on Lake Michigan.

Parking is a breeze, too.  This picture is taken at the entrance  of the zoo and our car was right there.

Stopped for lunch at this super fun, tropical-ish restaurant on the river in Kenosha.  Again, no wait to sit right on the water and great food and drinks.  Matt is hoping Wisconsin adopts Lake County, IL.

Sunday night dinner and pool time with friends, our new tradition!

Matt pulled out some of the smoker "fireworks" he got for the fourth.  The kids had so much fun with them.

Sparklers

New sand in the sandbox is so luxurious to play in!
