Great Wolf Lodge

We volunteered to host the Kindergarten Parent's Social this year, so we had 62 kindergartener's parents invited to our home for a few hours.  We had about 40 people actually come, though, I would guess.  We had to reschedule the original date because of Grandma Della's funeral, so the new date didn't have as many attendees as the original.  It seemed like a perfect size group, though.  I was nervous to host since we don't know as many of Claire's classmates parents, we know a lot of 2nd grade parents.  But the party was fun and everyone as so nice.  We even had a pretty great group of "after party" people hang around and take the party to the basement bar area and toy room dance floor, which was unexpected.  Made some nice new friends!

Then Saturday we checked out Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee, which was a ton of fun.

Fruit plate a la Iso (she helped prep for us!)

Wine glass station

Hot apple cider

Name tag station

Matt rented these tables, it looked so official and pretty!

Wet bar

People had to bring appetizers or desserts based on their last name, so we were ready for them!

The hosts with the most!

Proud of my refreshed living room.  Looks so nice!

Water and beer

The guests arriving.

On Saturday/Sat night we went to the new Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee (formerly Key Lime Cove) with some friends.

The boys enjoyed the ropes course

Claire decided she would rather "make" a wolf stuffed animal than spend the money on the ropes course

At the waterpark - Luke and Joey

Claire and "Wolfy"

The arcade is always a crowd-pleaser - Claire and Alexandra were hooked

Great dinner together - the food was surprisingly tasty and they sure do know how to accommodate groups of children!

Listening to the bedtime story while enjoying ice cream

Breakfast on Sunday was cafeteria style, pretty good too.  Then we did MagiQuest!

Just like in Wisconsin Dells, they loved it.  It had us traipsing all over the complex.

Magiquest!

Wolfy also came along on the quest

Goodbye Great Wolf Lodge Gurnee!

Those kooky kids pretending to sit on the mural chairs at the mall one day.
Matt went on a field trip with Claire's class
